The Airport ATC System is adapted to turn ICAO categories in flight plans to RECAT-EU categories on the Tower controller HMI. RECAT-EU wake turbulence categories have to be associated to aircraft type since today the flight plan contains only aircraft type and ICAO wake turbulence category. The association of a given aircraft type to a RECAT-EU category is enabled by a static mapping provided in the RECAT-EU documentation.
