FOC-007a — FIS/TIS Data Processing Unit

The FIS/TIS Data Processing Unit is a ground-based system of the FIS/TIS Data Integrator. It receives source data from various data providers like traffic data from ANSPs, NOTAM from the EAD, weather data from national weather service providers and FUA data from military providers or ANSPs. These data are processed in the FIS/TIS Data Processing Unit und prepared for being transmitted to the mobile device on-board of GA aircraft via a mobile cellular network based on LTE for GA altitudes.
