APP ATC 161 — Enhance AMAN to support Flow based Integration of Arrival and Departure Management

In this basic AMAN/DMAN coupling, AMAN is considered as the master and DMAN as the slave. AMAN calculates the arrival sequence with proper Arrival Free Intervals (AFIs) according to the applicable arrival-departure pattern for the runway. DMAN sequences the departures within the AFIs determined by AMAN. Arrival and departure demands for the same runway (or for dependent runways) and the runway(s) capacity are considered to determine fixed arrival-departure pattern for defined periods. The successive patterns may be chosen by the operators or provided by an optimization algorithm. Arrival and departures are displayed in a combined sequence to the relevant controller.
