With the introduction of a new staffing configuration (e.g. Changing from existing 1 Tactical (Executive) and 1 Planning Controller to 2 ( or more) Tactical (Executive) and 1 Planning Controller in en-route sectors) , the allocation of tasks (including new tasks) changes. All concerned actors know which (new) tasks are allocated to his/her position and which task change is introduced by the new staffing configuration. Enhanced planner tools are introduced and the usage of the tools is included in the training programme. Controller validity (licensing) is reviewed and 'validation criteria' are adapted. Workplace layout requirements triggered by the change of coordination and communication are accounted for in the design of the workplace layout.
