Solution U3C-03 — Detect & avoid capability

The capability enables the drones to detect cooperative and non-cooperative conflicting traffic, or other hazards, and take the appropriate action to comply with the applicable rules of flight. This includes the collision avoidance, situational awareness and ┬┐remain well clear functionalities, as well as the other hazards described in chapter 10.2.3 of the ICAO RPAS Manual: terrain and obstacles, hazardous meteorological conditions, ground operations and other airborne hazards.

The reference for this definition is the "European ATM Master Plan: Roadmap for the safe integration of drones into all classes of airspace". On-going Research activities on U-space may update this definition in future datasets.
