Solution U3C-03 — Detect & avoid capability

The capability enables the drones to detect cooperative and non-cooperative conflicting traffic, or other hazards, and take the appropriate action to comply with the applicable rules of flight. This includes the collision avoidance, situational awareness and ¿remain well clear functionalities, as well as the other hazards described in chapter 10.2.3 of the ICAO RPAS Manual: terrain and obstacles, hazardous meteorological conditions, ground operations and other airborne hazards.

The reference for this definition is the "European ATM Master Plan: Roadmap for the safe integration of drones into all classes of airspace". On-going Research activities on U-space may update this definition in future datasets.
