AO-0818 — Extended Turn-round Monitoring

Synchronization of all processes involved in turn-around. By monitoring key synchronization aspects of the turnaround process and proper aggregation of information, provide all impacted stakeholders with an alert so that those with the appropriate authority can pro-actively manage the situation thereby minimizing the delay to the departure flight itself and the knock-on impact to the Airport and broader ATM operation.
Benefits are expected in Predictability, Efficiency and Resilience.

Rationale
There is a need to provide the Airport Stakeholders with early warning indicators of possible delays along the critical paths during the turnaround process. The solution will not be altering the ownership of the turnaround on the ramp, its activities or the decision making involved in achieving a turnaround. It will however, provide all impacted stakeholders with an alert so that those with the appropriate authority can pro-actively manage the situation thereby minimizing the delay to the departure flight itself and the knock-on impact to the Airport and broader ATM operation.
