CM-0807-A — Enhanced Short Term Conflict Alert using Mode S EHS data
Short Term Conflict Alert (STCA) using the following Aircraft Derived Data via Mode S Enhanced Surveillance (EHS) (DAP) in order to improve the STCA performance:
- Track Angle Rate,
- MCP/FCU Selected Altitude (SFL),
The STCA must remain robust against information error or lack of information.
- Rationale
- The data will be used when available to facilitate improved accuracy of the STCA trajectory predictions. The objective is to reduce the number of nuisance alerts in situation managed by ATC and to increase the warning time in case of unsafe aircraft manoeuvres.
