SDM-0204 — Remotely Provided Air Traffic Service for Contingency Situations at Small to Medium Aerodromes (with a Single Main Runway)
Aerodrome Control Service is provided by a remote/secondary facility at small to medium airports (with a single main runway) in a contingency situation where the primary ATC Tower is not useable.
- Rationale
- The remote aerodrome ATS concept and the enablers applied (such as the visual enhancement features), can provide alternative facilities for ATC with highest possible air traffic capacity at a reasonable cost, not necessary requiring:
- Ground Radar coverage and/or multi-lateration;
- Systems such as A-SMGCS. - Forecast V3 end date
